INTRODUCTION TO HAIR EXTENSIONS...   ABOUT HAIR EXTENSIONS Hair extensions can be attached to your head in many ways, including clipping on, sewing, and gluing. Each method has their own advantages. The depending variables are: Your Hair Your Lifestyle Your Needs Your Budget

EXTENSIONS - FUSHION   FUSHION For long-lasting, natural-looking hair extensions, a great option to consider is the fusion method. Fusion is generally preferred method as fused hair extension can last three to six months with skilled application and proper care. The extensions are indistinguishable from natural hair and, applied correctly, attachment site is virtually invisible. Fusion hair extensions are more expensive than other methods, but, if you want long-lasting, natural looking luscious hair, this may be the method for you. Fusion Time – 4-8 hours depending on density.

SEWING WEAVE EXTENSIONS   SEW-IN WEAVE To get a sew-in weave is to put your hair on ‘vacation’. It is advised to stay in 8-12 weeks.    A Full head sew-in, consists of braiding your natural hair up and stitching tracks of hair to the cornrows. This method is best for customers that want to achieve a very different look than their own hair texture. This technique may be accomplished with several variations: 1) Half Head: only the back portion of the head, adding length and/or body. 2) Full Head, hairline out: Top and/or Hairline left out of the braids to execute a natural look that may be styled in many ways including a ponytail. 3) Full Head, all up: none of your hair is left out or visible. 4) Just Tracks: 2-5 cornrows (wherever needed), adding length and fullness. Sew-in time – 2-3hours depending on density. BONDED WEAVE EXTENSIONS The quick fix. A bonded weave is temporary lasting up to 2 weeks in some cases. The method is done very quickly and is best for special events. The full head quick weave consists of either braiding or gelling natural hair into a ponytail and gluing the extension track directly to the hair in its desired style.  Quick tracks may also be used to add length, volume, and fill in gabs of a particular hairstyle. Bonding time- an extra 15-45 minutes to current hairstyle.

TREE BRAIDS   TREE BRAIDS The tree-braiding method is the newest extension technique. This is a creative way to add extensions and have low to no maintenance needed for 6-8 weeks. There are two ways: 1) Natural hair and extension hair are braided in a cornrow while simultaneously allowing the extension hair to be left out of the braid, giving it a ‘branch and leaves’ effect. This method is similar to a sew-in weave except that there isn’t any needle and thread or glue used. Only braids. The entire head is in cornrows (unless specified) and only the extension hair is out and visible.  2) Natural hair and extension hair are braided in individuals while simultaneously allowing the extension hair to be left out. This gives a fuller and longer look and last 2-4 weeks longer than the previous method of tree-braiding. Tree Braiding Time- 3-6 hours

LACE UNITS AND HAIR PIECES   LACE UNITS This method is used for hair restoration or hair replacement. Lace units are best for people with premature balding around the hairline or at the crown of the head. Lace units and hair pieces are specially measured, ordered and with proper care, may last for years. Professionally placed monthly, depending on lifestyle, this method is ideal for someone suffering from hair loss. Lace unit time – extra 30-60 minutes to hairstyle

CORNROWS   CORNROWS My favorite technique. Cornrows are braids that are connected to the scalp. With so many designs, you can have any desired look you want. Cornrows can be with or without hair extensions. I welcome all types of textures and all lengths. Cornrow time- 1-3 hours.

BRAIDS   INDIVIDUAL BRAIDS Individuals are braids covering the entire head. This technique can be done with or without extensions added.  Size also varies in thickness and braids can be as long as the extension allows. It is versatile and lasts for 4-10 weeks depending on natural hair texture and hair growth. Individual braiding time- 5-7 hours with extensions, 2-3 without extensions MICRO BRAIDS Micros are a smaller version of individuals. They last 8-12 weeks or more and can be done with synthetic or human hair. Micro time- 7-9 hours

DREAD LOCS AND TWISTS   DRED LOCS and TWO STRAND TWIST Variations to individuals are Temporary dreads and 2-strand twist. DRED LOCS Not all dreads are permanent (call for consultation). TWO STRAND TWIST 2 strand twists are double stranded individuals.   Individual braiding time- 5-7 hours with extensions 2-3 without extensions 2-strand twist time- 4-6 hours
